DAY 1 : MELBOURNE

After months of planning, the day finally came and woohoo! I finally got here. Melbourne. Well, I studied on the other side of the globe from here so I never had the chance to visit this beautiful city all these while. After many promises and numerous let downs, I decided to come over and visit my friends. They are all of quality, that I need not name, you know who you are.

Many of my friends had ugly experiences with Air Asia and I personally thought it was awesome. Had a couple of beers and peanuts and I was in Melbourne. Buzzinga! It was terribly boring because I flew alone. MY GOODNESS. 9 holy hours on the plane, no form of entertainment besides watching air stewardess' ass walking up and down the aisle. 9 hours makes hot ass boring. But thank God I bought the 25 bucks seat. was worth every penny.

After all the hassle getting the luggage and going pass the green lane. My friend that was waiting for me at the airport took me for supper. Had a cooler version of Kebab, they call it Lamb Slouvaki here. and more beer. Right outside the Stalactites, the greek restaurant, was this JZX100. Immediately I grabbed my camera and snapped. In front of the Chaser was this, SWEET.

180, done right.

After the meal i came out and WHAT! another 180. This one rather stock and clean looking. Nothing to drool about really but its good to have one of this to start with. Neat.

Anyway, I've to rest for abit. Absolutely knackered from all the walking today. Feels like I clocked a month's worth walking here today. Pampered by the convenient Malaysian road system. :p

Low Is the New Fast

Ever since the HellaFlush Syndrome has kicked in, lotsa pictures of slammed JDMs starts to appear all over the Internet. Sometimes I just wonder if their countries have no speed humps at all? It still doesn't make sense to me at all but I will look into this. I noticed lots of them have the bottom of their car sealed.

Just How low can you go?

1 thing i enjoyed about drifting is how you meet different people from everywhere. Its funny how we know people through drifting and become friends. Beer on friday nights where you dont talk about cars at all? To many, it probably is just another hobby. In fact, it is a lifestyle.

You know you're improving when you start buying cable ties.

p.s here at driftneyland we dont support drifting on the streets. Keep it off the streets. :p

But you can not forget, drifting is a spectator sport. The car has to be presentable always and don't forget the deep dish when you are taking the car for a spin. This is the way to ROLL.

Anyway, I'm off to Melbourne and will update on the trip. Keep it Real!

FORMULA DRIFT MALAYSIA 2009

, For those who have ever attended any drift event on malaysian soil would have to agree that Formula Drift Malaysia 2009 is the best event we ever had. Time was given to all the drivers around the asian region to prepare and ship their drift machines to Malaysia for the event. This event clearly defines the true meaning of power. Even with the tight track layout, some still struggle to chase during the tandem sessions. Below are some pictures from the practice runs.
